The Kabakahan Festival
A long conflict-ridden history brought the present incarnation and success of the Livestock Market Auction in Barangay Poblacion, Padre Garcia. Serving as a significant part of the Garcianos cultural and historical identity, tourist flock every Thursday and Friday at the town to take part in the weekly cattle auction. It has a land area of 1.7 Operating 21/7, its average weekly income ranges from Php200,000 to 250,000 and averages monthly at Php800,000 to 1 million. There is an estimated number of 300 traders that conduct business in the Livestock Auction Market, with traders coming from Marinduque , Mindoro, Romblon, Bicol Region, Pangasinan, CALABARZON and NCR. At least 1200 people earn from the LAM. Some of them work as middlemen for trading. The Livestock Auction Market is what made Padre Garcia known as the Cattle Trading Capital of the Philippines. This market also functions as both cultural and economic epicenter of the municipality. The municipality's food, restaurants and their town festival derive inspiration from the Livestock Auction Market.

We have an exciting announcement to make!
Calling all talented dancers out there! We are thrilled to inform you that there will be a dance audition happening on March 16, 2024 at exact 9:00 am at Function Hall Executive Bldg. Whether you're a solo performer or part of a group, this audition is open to both male and female (in school youth, out of school youth and young professional) dancers aged 15-23.
This audition is open to any genre, such as Cultural / folk dance, modern and dance sport.
To participate, all you need to do is prepare a dance routine that is 1 minute and 30 seconds long. Show off your amazing moves. Must wear an appropriate dance outfit (preferably white t-shirt and jogging pants)
This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your skills and passion for dance. So, mark your calendars and get ready to shine!

PADRE VICENTE GARCIA DAY 2024
Ngayong ika-5 ng Abril ay ipinagdiwang ang Padre Vicente Garcia Day. Ginugunita natin ngayon ang kapanganakan ni Padre Vicente Garcia na siyang pinagmulan ng pangalan ng bayan, gayundin ang kanyang mga makabuluhang kontribusyon sa ating komunidad na nagpapakita ng kanyang dedikasyon sa paglilingkod, edukasyon, at pagkakaisa.
Ang araw na ito ay bilang paalala ng kanyang matibay na pamana na nagbibigay inspirasyon sa atin na tularan ang kanyang mga pagpapahalaga sa pagmamalasakit at pagkakaisa.
Nakaisa natin sa pagdiriwang ang lokal na pamahalaan ng Padre Garcia sa pangunguna ng ating ina ng bayan, Kgg. Mayor Celsa B. Rivera, ikalawang punongbayan, Kgg. Micko Angelo B. Rivera, kasama ang bumubuo ng Sangguniang Bayan, Liga ng mga Barangay at DEPED Family.
Sa pagkakataon ding ito, ginanap ang isang symposium bilanmg lubos na pagkilala sa katauhan ni Padre Vicente Garcia na pinangunahan ni Bb. Milleth Kasilag. Ito ay dinaluhan ng mga piling mag-aaral ng Elementarya muna sa iba't ibang paaralan dito sa ating bayan. Ito ay sinundan din ng isang Poster Making Contest kung saan narito ang mga sumusunod na nagwagi:

2nd Place: Cawongan Elementary School
3rd Place: Holy Family Academy
